Our original family recipe bakes into delicious cookies with warm spice and deep molasses flavor.  Made with fresh Grapewood Farm flour and candied ginger, there’s a cozy, spiced treat in every bite!

 

You Will Need:

  • 1 stick (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg

 

Tips:

  • Roll balls of dough in your palms smoothing surface to create even textured cookies.
  • Alternatively place rough shaped dough balls directly on sheet to create more cracked appearance.
  • Decorate with drizzle of royal icing to create a more festive appearance!

 

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC)
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl add contents of package mix, softened butter and egg.
  • Mix well until dough comes together.
  • Scoop 20-22 balls of dough onto cookie sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  • Allow several minutes on the baking sheets to set, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

 

Ingredients: Whole Wheat Flour, Dark Brown Sugar, Molasses Powder, Ginger Pieces, Ginger Powder, Ground Clove, Ground Cinnamon, Baking Soda, Salt
