Another Season Begins
As we approach the end of 2021, it is gratifying to see the new growth already on the grain crops which were planted in November. We are grateful that this year we didn't have to battle five days of rain post planting as we did in 2020, when some of the seed and soil was washed away. Instead, we see neat rows of wheat, spelt and rye emerging from the soil into the Virginia sunshine.

As you look across a planted field you will see a pleasing flush of green where the grain has sprouted. Even two weeks will show Mother Nature's eager growth.
